About PMAC
The Policy Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister was established by YAB Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim in February 2024 to provide advisory on matters pertaining to national development and economic resilience in alignment with Ekonomi MADANI.
PMAC is chaired by Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican with members:
- Datuk Seri Panglima Ahmad Fuad Md Ali
- Professor Dr. Yeah Kim Leng
- Dr. Nungsari Ahmad Radhi
Focus Areas
ACFIN’s main role is to advise the Finance Minister in four key focus areas:
Government Revenue
Review matters pertaining to increasing the Government revenue base.
Subsidy & Social Protection
Review and restructure matters related to subsidies and provision of a more holistic social protection.
Government-Owned Entities
Review and rationalise Government-owned entities’ roles and functions and to consolidate/restructure them where appropriate.
National Debt
Review and restructure the national debt.
